Alpha particle gains 2 charges to the element. Beta particles subtracts 1 charge from the element. Gamma rays are high-energy radiation that possess no mass.

An alpha particle is a positively charged particle with two protons and two neutrons. A Beta Particle is an electron or positron emitted from an atomic nucleus in a certain type of radioactive decay. And a Gamma Ray is a photon of penetrating electromagnetic radiation.

A beta particle is attracted to the positive plate. The Alpha particle is attraced to the negative plate. Gamma rays aren't attracted to any plates.

The beta particle is emitted from the atomic nucleus in radiactive decay. It is an electron. The alpha particle is charged positively and has 2 protons and 2 neutrons. The Gamma ray is a proton penetrating the electromagnetic radiation.
