How was John Newlands? What did he do for chemistry?

John Newlands was an English analytical chemist. In 1863 he prepared the first periodic table. And in 1865 he came up with the law of octaves.

Im pretty sure he was good. Since he is now a famous man. He was an Englsih analytical chemist. He prepared first periodic table. He did laws of octaves.
