An orbital diagram uses arrows and labels that don't have exponetnts tho show an element. An Electron configuration uses exponents to tell you where the element is. Then you are able to use the exponent to find the element.

AN orbital diagram uses arrows & labels. Electron configuration uses exponents. You uses the exponent to get the element.

The orbital diagram has arrows and boxes showing the number of electrons. There is one arrow for each electron and 2 arrows fill a box. In electron configuration you use exponents and the different groups of the periodic table.

The electron configuration notation uses exponents and different groups of the periodic table to show the number of electrons. The orbital diagram uses arrows and labels without exponents. I think that the electron configuration notation is easier and faster.

It uses arrows and labels. It tells you where the element is through exponents. Then you can find the element.

Orbital diagrams use arrows to direct the spin of single electrons. Electron configuration notation doesn't show the orbital distuributions of electrons. It shows by using numbers and the letters "s", "d", "p", and "f" to tell you where the element is in the periodic table.
